Studies show the presence of antioxidant activities in the snail secretion: enzymatics as superoxide dismutase (SOD), conjugation enzymes as glutathione-S-transferase (GSH-T) and low molecular weight antioxidants related to free radical scavenging activity (ABTS-assay).
