It may be difficult to chose which acne scar removal treatment is for you. Laser resurfacing is one option for acne scar removal. It can help improve various skin issues. The idea is to get rid of damaged skin cells and promote the growth of new ones. The length of treatments can vary person to person. Many people are satisfied with the outcome one the procedures have concluded. There is a chance the treatment may present some difficulties. Depending on the person, they can develop excess redness, scarring and dryness. This procedure is not for everyone and results may vary.

A more invasive procedure is dermabrasion. This practice comes with a higher risk as it can be quite abrasive. The surface layers of the skin are essentially sanded off with a high-speed electric tool. Unmarked skin is brought to the surface after the older skin is taken off. Since this procedure is more invasive, it can be very painful and also requires freezing of the skin and possibly even general anesthetic. This process can cause the skin to bleed and can take months to fully recover. Redness of the skin can last up to 4 months. Results may vary depending on the severity of the acne scars. Results may vary depending on the patient's skin tone.

A similar practice to dermabrasion is one called microdermabrasion. It is much less invasive and can help achieve comparable results. Healing time is virtually nonexistent and the procedure is much more simple. This procedure is a uses a more intense exfoliation rather than a metal tool to repair the skin. Under the old skin is a more fresh, renewed you. Microdermabrasion restores the skin to a more youthful look without acne scars. This process happens naturally over time yet the can be sped up with microdermabrasion.

Having reviewed some of the technical procedures such as laser resurfacing, dermabrasion, microdermabrasion there is one other method that should be looked into. An alternative to office procedures is a biological cream called Bioskinforte. This product can be used at home and is much safer than the previous treatments shown.
